Fallen Arch, Marble 90 x 90 x 45 cm, 2008 |
| |
|
| |
The work fallen arch developed during the summer 2007, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of me living and working in London. It also marked the end of the Blair era, and the work reflects the mood and the sense of deflation after this decade. The sculpture should work on a physical level with the audience, the work shifts just slightly, but enough to get noticed, I want it to make people aware of their (physical as well as emotional) own position within their surrounding but leave them to respond to the work on their own terms. |
