  Mile End, (DVD 3:00 min)

After rehearsing for a week we had to wait another before filming for the weather, sky and light to achieve that radiating lustre of a Technicolor urban postcard.
Shot in one take with a fixed camera the framing is essential. For this I am indebted to Jo Stockham and for the synchronising of the sound to Renee Vaughan Sutherland.
From the outset I wanted something simultaneously gentle and cruel in an atmosphere of longing and neglect.

Jefford Horrigan makes sculpture, drawings and performances. He rarely tries to reconcile these activities, so the work done in one discipline may not have anything to do with the work made in another.
His most recent exhibitions and performances include 2008 - Sodium Angel/ Teresa (Performances) at South London Art Gallery as part of Said Camberwell College of Art London. Routemaster General (Screening) 176 Gallery London: 2007 - The Four Stages of Cruelty (Performance) Tate Britain London. Past Lives Body (Performance) for Parts III at Royal Scottish Academy Edinburgh.
